Charlotte Symphony Summer
Strings Academy
June 4 - 15, 2007
The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra
is offering a two-week musical learning experience for string students.
Classes, allowing for individual attention, will give students from
age five the opportunity to study in the
summer. Classes will be held at: Good Shepherd Day School, 1800 Shreve
Street, Punta Gorda, Florida.
Class time is 9:00a.m. until 12 noon (with a break for refreshments)
weekdays from June 4 through June 15.
The instructors are professional musicians who have performed with
the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.
Curriculum:
Curriculum will include the following classes:
String-instrument performance
Musicianship
Rhythm studies
Tuition:
Tuition for the two week Strings Academy is $100.00, with a $25.00
non-refundable registration fee due May 15
and the balance due at the first day of class June 4.
Instruments:
Each student will be responsible for his or her instrument, which should
be brought to class each day.
Enrollment:
An enrollment conformation will be mailed prior to the beginning of
classes. Daily attendance is expected during the two-week program.
