The Good Shepherd Day School's goal is to offer a broad cultural experience for all its students. All school age children experience daily instruction in an immersion based Spanish curriculum. Children as young as two also have Spanish instruction in our Preschool program. Two year old children have one class each week. Three year old children have language instruction twice each week, while four year old students have Spanish class three times each week.

Our Spanish teacher, Ms. Martha Gomez, is native Colombian and has a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Saint Buenaventura in Cali, Colombia.

Our program also offers classes in music for children age two and older. In addition, our children have the opportunity to take private piano and violin lessons. Our Young Violinists are frequently invited to perform for local groups. They have been invited to perform at the Edison College Arts Sensation for the past two years.

Karen Gettel-Bell is our full time music instructor. Ms. Bell is a retired public school teacher with more than thirty years experience. Ms. Bell holds a Bachelor of Music, Performance in Violin, a Master of Education in Music Education, and a Master of Fine Arts in Performance Violin. The arts an integral part of our program. They require discipline and commitment which are the rudimentary tools for all learning.
